چکیده
Lettuce crop is an important horticultural of several Mediterranean countries, including Italy. The Italian region which a major producer lettuce crops Apulia, where this cultivated in open fields greenhouses. Since microbial pathogens are responsible for diseases found on produced greenhouses, study, the experimental activities focused most severe fungal soilborne pathogens, i.e., Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and Athelia rolfsii. Their control often performed with fungicides cause public concern over environment human health. main aims study were to determine biocontrol efficacy Streptomyces strain vitro vivo conditions seedlings against rolfsii as through application its vegetative propagules putative bioactive crude extracts via filtrate culture. results obtained confirm significant effectiveness CARA17 severity both during two different experiments: when it used culture containing metabolites conditions. These preliminary demonstrated that actinomycetes valid agent (BCA) phytopathogens study. action from clearly mainly due produced, but further studies necessary identify (polyphenols, terpenes, fatty acids, etc.) strain.

Effect of crude plant extracts from some Oaxacan flora on two deleterious fungal phytopathogens and extract compatibility with a biofertilizer strain
The antimicrobial activity of 12 plant extracts was tested against the phytopathogens Alternaria alternata and Fusarium solani. In addition, the compatibility of the extracts toward Bacillus liqueniformis, a biofertilizer and a non-target microorganism, was assessed. Plants tested belong to the Euphorbiaceae, Asteraceae, Crassulaceae, Rubiaceae, Convolvulaceae, Verbenaceae, Orchidaceae, Nyctagi...
متن کاملIn vitro antibacterial activity of bioactive metabolite and crude extract from a new streptomyces strain Streptomyces rajshahiensis
A new strain of Streptomyces identified as Streptomyces rajshahiensis (RUPA08-PR) was isolated from the soil of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Ethyl acetate was the most convenient solvent for the extraction of antimicrobial metabolites from the culture filtrate of this strain. From the ethyl acetate extract compound 1 was isolated, purified and characterized by spectral data. The compound showed antiba...
متن کاملAntibacterial activity of crude extracts of Spirulina platensis and its structural elucidation of bioactive compound
The concept of biological control for health maintenance has received widespread attention during the last few years. Therefore, the main objective of this work was to look for active substances that could be used as antibacterial agents. To achieve this target, two different extract (Methanol and Acetone) from Spirulina platensis was examined. The algal extracts were tested in vitro for their ...
متن کاملChitinolytic enzymes from Streptomyces albidoflavus expressed in tomato plants: effects on Trichoplusia ni
Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum ) cultivars were transformed with genes that encode bacterial chitinolytic enzymes (i.e., endochitinase and chitobiosidase) from Streptomyces albidoflavus. Transgenic tomato plants producing these enzymes were found to have enhanced resistance to cabbage looper, Trichoplusia ni (Hübner) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), consistently reducing the growth rates of larvae. M...
متن کاملEffect of heat shock on browning-related enzymes in minimally processed iceberg lettuce and crude extracts.
The effects of heat shock on PPO and POD activity in minimally processed Iceberg lettuce was examined during storage (10 days). The results were compared with the effect of temperature on crude extracts of these enzymes (in vitro analysis). Fresh-cut lettuce washed at 50 degrees C showed significantly lower PPO and POD activity throughout storage than lettuce washed at 4 degrees C and 25 degree...
